Recommended Method of Application Goddard's Silver Care Liquid Dip

Goddard's Silver Care Liquid Dip - 10 oz. I have used this product on a number of occasions to clean a large sterling silver service when it has become very tarnished and would highly recommend it. I have a procedure that makes the job very easy and very effective. I'm writing this because many reviewers end up using a toothbrush to clean crevices and corners. I recommend pouring the entire jar of tarnish remover into a glass baking pan and then using a soft brush, starting at the top of the product, apply the liquid to the entire tarnish area and watch it disappear. The brush falls into the cracks and into the silver jar that you clean. Tarnish, which is silver sulfide (chemically known as AgS), is removed in a matter of seconds. Then rinse the item (I sprayed it) with warm water to remove the cleaner and clean the surface of any remaining sulfur compounds. If possible, run an exhaust fan, e.g. B. a stove and drain smelly Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) from the kitchen as this will only cause the silver to tarnish again. Finally, rinse the containers inside and dry them with a soft cloth. Leave the lids open for a few hours to allow the remaining hydrogen sulfide to evaporate. It took me about 30-40 minutes to make a large 6 piece coffee and tea set that looks beautiful.
