I like this door bell. The wiring for my old door bell was defective so I purchased this rather than rewiring. This replacement works well, I'm impressed with the volume and the ease of installation. Most of the chimes are a bit overdone (especially the animal noises) but I guess everyone had their own desires in their door bell.I chose to use a command strip to hang the receiver which has been working well. I used the included screws to install the transmitter. Bring your own silicone, the instructions suggest using some where you install the screws. This is a good buy for the money and doesnt use up an outlet. The transmitter used a standard coin cell and the receiver uses 3x AAA batteries.I recommend it.*** 1 year update ***Door bell still works as expected, no issues that I am aware of. The factory batteries finally died and I replaced them with higher capacity rechargeable. The transmitter gets full cold in the winter and full sun all day. It has survived the extremes.
