This is the ONLY mouth guard I will buy for my son. He has asthma and allergies, so sometimes he has trouble breathing. In the middle of summer in Texas, where the heat index can exceed 105°F, it's easy for kids to get out of breath. The open space in front of the mouthpiece really lets my son breathe while having it in his mouth. He doesn't have to try to take it out or stretch his mouth to inhale. I also like the dental guarantee offered. This is another plus of this brand. The part itself is very durable and looks like it can absorb the impact it gets from football. It's durable and I trust it a lot more than cheap flimsy brands. Since my child is using it I want it to be safe and with this mouthguard I feel it is. My only suggestion is to release a pink version of the regular adult mouthguard. They currently have one for women but in October my son's team is wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as I don't allow him to wear the ones issued he is the only one without a pink face mask. . We bought women just to try but they were too small. Although it's just a thought. :)
