I use these on my SUP boards as a third hand. None of my boards have hand holes. I place the suction cup next to the leash until I'm ready to use it. To actually use it, I "mount" a suction cup near my nose to hold one end of the paddle while the other end rests on my shoulder. So I have both hands free to hold the board. This allows me to carry the board with one hand on my shoulder and in gusts of wind I can support the board with both hands. A good product
