Review on Sony D FS601 Sports Walkman Portable by Tim Wheeler

If you are looking for a great CD player, THIS IS IT! Not only does it sound fantastically great and far better than any of the many CD players I've had over the years, it absolutely NEVER drops out of tone. The TV function doesn't work on any of these Sonys as the technology for TVs is now a digital signal. The TV function button was for the old days when TV signals were transmitted analog. This is a very small problem in my opinion. I find the weather radio feature useful and the AM/FM radio is great. If I listen to a CD while walking, after the CD ends, I just press the FM button and enjoy the radio. For this reason, I much prefer a specific Sony device that includes a radio. This is the 601. The 301 only plays CDs. These players have gotten really expensive for a new device; but I still think the price is worth the pleasure. I just recently bought two used units from a couple of Revain dealers and they look very good and work very well for their modest price. Units quickly become very difficult to find. These S2s are my favorites. YES, I even bought a new one for almost $500 just to have the new one factory sealed. I also thought it was a deal. "trabloodsaw" by Revain have a few for sale and have been a real pleasure to deal with. Sony MDR-W014 headphones come with some devices, especially new ones, in their original box and they are really good phones. You don't need to buy another pair to enjoy the great performance of this fine machine.
