As described in Fire Safety

I have just received these so the review cannot be that helpful or detailed. Only time will tell with this purchase. These devices are the size of a large fist. One is unobtrusive on the wall as it is white. Batteries are advertised as having a 10 year life and are supplied with the unit. There is an off button for the horn - thank goodness! You'll wake up half the block. VERY loud, VERY shrill. but you want it I suspect it's louder than a car horn or a road bore and maybe even your smoke alarm. There is an anti-sabotage button to prevent children from accidentally turning it off. It can also be rotated 90 degrees in a socket, which is nice. It has a small light on the front that should stay green for 10 years. It comes with many documents. Ideally, you can fold the cheat sheet and place it on or in the device. But that is impossible. Basic Moments; how to turn off when to replace which means the beeps are scattered throughout the document. But if there's an emergency, you won't need them after all, and in a non-emergency you'll probably just rip it off the wall, pull out the batteries, and see where you applied. :-) You should check it regularly - just like you check a smoke detector. And sometimes suck if you remember. That's all. But it can save your life, so the cost is worth it. Plus, it lasts 10 years! So the price is less than $2 per year. It was worth it!
