I haven't seen any feedback from people installing this on vinyl gates so I hope this helps someone like me who wants to know how it works on vinyl gates. TLDR; it works great! I bought this lock because my 2 year old figured out how to open the gate with a standard deadbolt. Once this is installed, there's no chance she'll be able to open it. I didn't put mine at the 59 inch mark precisely because there is no pool and also because it's safe at that height anyway. Replace the latch I had because it didn't close properly and kept coming loose. I'm glad I waited to buy; great investment!
