Review on Acoustic Audio HT 85 Ceiling Theater by Ashley Murray

We got these a while ago and I wanted to wait to leave a review in case anything comes up. These speakers sound great for what we paid for them (after a few tricks). First, we inserted acoustic foam into the cavity of the wall behind the speakers to deaden the thump that in-wall speakers are notorious for. Then we padded the ceiling speakers in the attic with acoustic foam to direct more sound down. Finally, we used good quality 14 gauge copper wire with gold plated pin connectors. Once calibrated, the sound they produce is very close to what I've heard from Polk and JBL. You'll have to up the price if you're a music audiophile as they can have a slightly muddy sound when playing music, but they reside in our home theater and are perfect for movies and video games when paired with a quality subwoofer will . and recipient. They have a good punch, high frequencies are clear and voices are clear. We couldn't be happier. **If I had to complain about anything it would be the lack of an included speaker cover to paint on, the template cut out was paper so it was a one off item and one of the copper coils. It fell off in shipping so I had to solder it back on before using it for the first time.
