Acoustic Audio HT 85 Ceiling Theater Review

I installed the speakers myself. It's easy if you follow the pattern. The speakers were BIGGER than I thought they would be, but fit the room they were placed in. The sound is great. I can't hear my wife yelling at me to turn the sound off! :) It was a great purchase.

They provide cardboard cut out templates to make installation easier. Most speakers have clamp terminals, some have "push-in" spring inputs. In any case it was good. The sound was amazing out of the box. I would buy it again if I had another place where I need it.

When I bought this set, a speaker was defective and the manufacturer misled me. I even buy a warranty which was useless to me, I ended up buying a replacement speaker from another brand and it works great. If anyone wants to make it right please contact me.

Bluetooth was unstable. I could barely move 10 feet from the receiver. I didn't see this as a major issue after which the audio stopped working. It shows video on all outputs but no sound. A few nights I just had to wait a few minutes and it would turn back on. Today I wore it for several hours and nothing. Very upset with this product as all my TVs revolve around this receiver. I would like compensation for this bad product.

These speakers didn't sound like I expected; They sounded pretty awful which was very frustrating as I had just cut some pretty big holes in my walls and ceiling to mount them on. I've tried a few things to change the sound, adjusted my receiver's delays, covered the tweeters to get rid of the tinny sound, etc. and nothing made them sound very good. Bought these speakers for my home cinema ceiling. This was difficult to install as the template is smaller than it should be. Since my ceiling is black I also painted the grille and frame to match as unfortunately they only come in white. The biggest mistake I made was installing and removing them before actually testing the product. First, we inserted acoustic foam into the cavity of the wall behind the speakers to deaden the thump that in-wall speakers are notorious for. I wanted to like it. They are very well thought out. I bought a new Pioneer VSX receiver and Polk Sub based on Amazon reviews, hooked them all up to these Acoustic Audio speakers and it sounded terrible. Not only bad but pretty awful, my wife and mum who were also visiting thought it was wrong too. There are no mids at all, just a very tinny treble and some bass in all speakers.
