I tried it instead of a collar because my cat won't hold it and is trying to get outside. So it's a really big problem for me to identify him when he comes out. especially since vets sometimes forget where they inserted the chip (everyone inserts it in a different spot, so getting it is a bit of a defeat). It will not work. Please don't do this. He almost ended up in the hospital for catching his jaw. I once let a kitten die this way so it was extremely traumatic for both of us that it happened this time. Although he's fine. I really don't want to wear it again. Although it seems to be a normal system. It fits him well and he weighs 10 pounds. The ribbon is very thin and easily cut with scissors which I needed in case it needed to be cut off. Maybe we'll try again in the future because I really want to start getting him out there in the way he wants. But now we both need time to recover. Please do not leave this with your cat. This is not the best substitute for a collar. Now I feel terrible just thinking about it.
