Good quality item, only used once so far. The product does what it should. The bamboo base is beautiful and will not slide when placed on a flat surface. The 1000 grit allows you to sharpen knives with blades in decent condition. You might want to use 400 grit beforehand to get them there. The 6000 grit certainly improves cutting performance. Wonderful.
