Review on 🔌 Enhanced Power Steering Pressure Sensor - Standard Motor Products PSS42 by Elvis Kohl

My experience is exactly as described by the previous reviewer. The next day after installing this new pressure switch, the engine began to run poorly and stall. This sensor shares a common reference wire with other, more important sensors on the engine. In the event of a malfunction, it can falsify the readings of other sensors and cause the engine to run poorly or not work at all. Trouble codes from the PCM indicated a rich condition. I unplugged the sensor and was able to drive the car normally (apart from the lack of power steering load correction that this sensor allows for). A different brand of power steering pressure sensor will cost more than twice as much, but hopefully the higher price reflects better quality.
