First of all, I have to admit that I don't have much practical experience of using serrated blades to cut steel. I put it on a 12" DeWalt miter saw to cut 11 gauge (1.5 x 1 x .120") rectangular tube. I had to make twelve 90° cuts and sixteen 45° cuts. I made all 90° cuts without any problems. On the third sixth 45° cut, he just stopped cutting. It cut through half the thickness of the wall and cut no more. I wasn't trying to get through it. I took my time with every cut. They were beautiful, shiny and razor sharp. So I don't know if that's the average amount of use you can get before a regrind is needed, but it seems to have gone pretty quickly. I also don't know if DeWalt meets the recommended RPM for this blade. Still cuts better than cutting discs and transfer belts. The teeth are in good shape. Nobody broke. I will make it new and keep using it.
