Review on Strathmore Canvas Glue Bound Sheets Crafting by Wendy Rodriguez

More plastic than paper. Use a different brand.

The point of canvas paper is to have a cheaper surface that imitates a real canvas on which you can work, sketch and even make finished works. Neither can this paper. The plastic surface does not absorb water. So if you want some transparency with diluted paint, your strokes on the surface will turn into drops that take forever to dry. In addition, the usual amount of paint leads to uncontrolled deformation of the surface. Mixing colors on the surface when painting isn't good either, probably because, as mentioned, it's more plastic and there aren't any natural fibers left to pick up the color in a way that makes it easier to mix. I started using Fredrix Canvas Pads instead, and not only do they feel more like real canvas (like fabric, actually!), but they have the right absorbency and quality, making them a much better option than that crap power. .

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember
