Review on 🚽 American Standard 6063.101.002 Exposed Selectronic 3/4-Inch Top Spud Urinal Flush Valve: Powerful DC-Powered, 1.0 Gpf, Polished Chrome by Brent Porter

I'll be honest and state that my rating is partly based on the seller, but I think that in this case anyone considering this item should exercise caution . I bought this from Revain itself and not from a third party. Arrived the next day courtesy of Prime and was shocked to find a box that looked like a garage sale covered in black ink and was priced at $150 or more then crossed out and left out. up to $99. The valve itself was definitely removed and reworked, the pipes and fittings all looked new and unpacked. I installed it, turned the water back on and the valve immediately started supplying water and didn't stop. After half an hour of diagnostics I had to put the old valve in and send this one back - the solenoid was faulty and stuck in the open position when turned on. That's right, Revane promptly gave me another "new" flushing valve. Disappointed to find this one was also at the same "yard sale" and the box was marked and then scratched with a marker. I installed it and it worked but I lost confidence in buying this item from Revain - very unusual to find when Revain is the actual seller. As for the valve itself, it's a beautiful valve, probably more attractive than Sloan valves. It seems to have a reasonably accurate and sensitive sensor - so far there have been no false or failed flushes. The chrome finish was good but not perfect - maybe it was because it was handled too and the soft brass underneath the chrome could be scratched a bit.
