Poor calibration - thermometer and timer
Tried to crack peanuts with this thermometer. Thought the timeline was going up too slowly. It showed under 200 while the mixture boiled for several minutes. A backup thermometer (digital reader) was used and the mix was already over 225. Completed recipe with digital readout thermometer and recipe saved. When cleaning before sending it back, I noticed that water also leaked out from under the glass lens of the dial!
