Review on GDEALER DT09 Waterproof Thermometer Calibration by Phillip Samuel

After using this thermometer for the first time, I washed it and let it dry. What I didn't understand is that it doesn't seem to turn itself off unless you move the needle to the closed position. The next day I tried to use it again and it wouldn't turn on. It's ok I thought I was just draining the coin cell battery although it wasn't clear how the auto off function works but still. I bought 4 packs of the right type of button cell batteries and put one in. Bad luck. The device still wouldn't turn on. It is strange. So I contacted the company as the product page says they have a lifetime guarantee. I emailed them directly and submitted a form to their contact page through their website but never received a response. I'm still waiting for a response from them and don't know what else to do other than give them 1 star. Maybe I got a defective device, but the company didn't respond in any way. Wouldn't buy from them again.
