I just bought a second one. The first was used by my yellow neck every day as its "watch me making breakfast" zone. He ended up chewing it so well I had to get another one. This went on for several years. Long enough to double the price anyway. Never trust penplax as a brand. Throw away the metal, throw away the rope, throw away the glue. Use Elmer's glue or another child-safe glue instead. This is a great item (once you eliminate the potential hazards) from a crappy brand that has proven time and time again that your pet's safety is not on their list of concerns.
