5 stars for the disc itself. SanDisk is now a WD company and this SSD shows decent performance. Got this on the very best day for a very decent price to upgrade a budget level HP laptop and boy did it breathe new life into it! Loading from 20 to 60 seconds now takes just 7 seconds. I deducted a star because the hard drive information on the Sandisk website makes it appear that there is free cloning software to download. It's not like this. I had to get a cheap USB to SATA connector (Startech USB 3.0 to SATA for $10) and then restore from a Macrium Reflect Drive backup. Not as fast as creating a 1:1 clone and maybe not in the way most would be familiar with, but it was the only way to go from 1TB to 480GB without paying for additional software features. Use one of the many free clone apps that appear to be Chinese. This is Sandisk's recommendation in the online PDF. IMO it has to come from a legitimate company for it to be considered safe. But this drive seems like a good buy.
