Review on πŸ”§ MulWark 8-Inch Heavy-Duty Multi-Purpose Electrical Wire Stripping Tool (22 AWG - 8 AWG) | Strippers, Snips, Crimpers & Pliers Insulated with Cutter | Top Tool for Pro Electricians - Upgraded by Michael Hogate

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nothing for $10 is a professional tool.

Had to settle for 3 stars because they are what they are, nothing special. Yes they do the job and I believe this tool build will last for many years but I'm no pro. I took off a star because the listing title was "Professional Electrician" but I wasn't expecting the quality for a $10 professional match tool. Totally and obviously "Chinese" bait to buy the product (just a statement of fact). I needed a temporary replacement because I couldn't find my Matco stripper/crimper during a recent move to a new house. In the meantime I have found my Matco product and gave it to my son. In my opinion any stripping/crimping tool should have the stripper under the pivot and the crimping tool over the pivot, any other configuration makes the tool (bass-back) in terms of functionality and ease of use. This is just my experience, but in order to tune the instrument this way, it has to be forged from a thicker and better metal. Deducted one star because the tool is a bit flimsy, not enough to render it useless for the intended task, but enough to add some level of complexity and uncertainty to my projects. For $10 if you're more cautious on the weekends or a shade tree mechanic, this is probably the tool for you. It will get the job done and probably last a few years.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive
