It looks real but is a Chinese fake, use at your own risk.

On the packaging: Revain sticker with Revain number and Made in China. Package Contents: 1 Large Fuel Distribution Filter (Primary), 1 Small Engine Filter (Secondary), 2 Black O-Rings (for Body Covers). No identification numbers, letters or anything else on the items themselves. I have owned a 2004 Ford F250 6.0 diesel engine for about 10 years. I've used Motorcraft FD4616 (Racor made in USA) and Racor (PAR-FIT PFF4616) fuel filters with no problems. My previous fuel filter supplier increased the prices so I looked for a cheaper option. Looking at the picture of these Chinese filters, they look identical to the Motorcraft/Racor OEM filters, including the presence of a mounting pin and exhaust port, which Ron, the thoughtful YouTube mechanic, recommended as "good" filters. I took the photo because I could get 3 of these filters for the price of an OEM filter and wanted to examine them up close. The first thing that struck me when comparing an OEM boxed filter to a Chinese filter was the slight difference in weight. . I weighed both filters and in fact the OEM kit weighed around 190g (7oz) while the Chinese filter kit weighed around 180g (6.5oz). I don't know if the lack of weight is due to the filter density, thinner plastic, or the fact that the secondary filter (smaller motor mount filter) was 2mm shorter than the OEM. All physical measurements between the two sets of filters were identical for the larger leadframe filter. But as mentioned, the secondary filter was about 2mm shorter than the OEM. There may be a problem with the installation or there may just be a little less filter material. In any case it is different. The o-ring on the primary filter had a visible gap between the ring and the groove it was placed in, allowing the o-ring to "walk" (imagine a waveform) in the groove during the OEM sat evenly in the gap. The Chinese filter microphone gap was 0.034 inches while the OEM gap was less noticeable, and 0.007 inches less at 0.027 inches. Poor installation of this o-ring could allow fuel to bypass the filter and enter the engine. The o-ring was orange, possibly a different material than the other black (nitrile?) o-rings found at the OEM. Not sure, just different. the primary filter had an overlapping seam where the storage seam folded into one of the spaces in the pleated paper filter. The filter paper on the secondary filter is lighter than the storage filter. It should be noted that the Racor and Motorcraft filters are identical in all measurements I used for this comparison, which makes sense given that they are the SAME filter marked "Made in USA". and is dated. She. While none of the differences I've observed between OEM and Chinese filters are likely to affect the performance of the issues, there were TOO many differences to be comfortable with. These are your classic Chinese copies of a quality "Made in the USA" product that is not true. Use at your own risk, I sent these Chinese fakes back for a refund.
