If you're looking for a quality 4x4 bar rough cut, this tool will help you get the job done. However, it is not easy to set up. FIRST - You will need a DEEP 7/16" head if using a drill/screwdriver to tighten screws. You can't tighten screws properly with either a regular head or a drill/driver socket Getting square and level The lead takes time to set up. It took me about 5 minutes per cut. More time for the first few cuts. I found it easiest to roughly fit and tighten the guide in place and then hammer it in to precisely position and align. This is not a production tool and although the cut is straight it will still be rough due to the nature of the saw blade. This worked well for me because I only cut 7 posts. I would look for another solution if I was going to cut a few more OR if I wanted the cut to look finished.
