Just got these in the mail and couldn't wait to try them out. When I took them out of the box I wondered how the flames could look realistic because they looked so artificial. I put them in my bras. Impressive! They flicker and look like real candles. Mine are INSIDE my lamps, but for a closer look I tried them on my candle holders that just sit on the coffee table. They still look like real candles. I lit one of the real candles next to it (they are the same color) and it looked amazing. The real flame burns a bit brighter, but I can easily replace it with a real one. I'll update if anything changes, but for now. happy"burn".
