I bought this to carry my 20 lb terrier mix on the New York subway. I chose this one over another strap I also got from Revain because of the soft strap. She didn't hit me in the shoulder, which is a big plus. The bandage itself is a little too small for my dog who is just over 14 inches tall but it was comfortable enough. When I stood up, I had to keep my hand on her buttocks, although the sling helped because it provided extra support. For my purposes - being able to transport my dog on the subway - it worked well. I wouldn't carry a sling with her. Another plus: it's lightweight and its soft construction means it practically disappears into your clothes; I had no problem carrying the sling when my dog was on a leash. It would be great if the company lowered the sling 2 inches. Maybe with a mesh cover so my dog is better protected in the bag. Cons: The seat belt is weak and the hardware is small. One of the locks opened by itself. It was basically useless.
