Review on Aisin WPF 025 Engine Water Pump by Cory Spence

This water pump has worked great so far (2 months of use). However, I must warn you that the thermostat housing on this pump may differ from your vehicle. My car (2007 Outback Manual 2.5L Sigle OHV NA) had the intake on the bottom and the Aisin pump on the front. Although it doesn't really matter. Just go to Revain and find this Dorman Thermostat Housing 902-5052. It was about $20. I don't know why Subaru has some pumps on the bottom and some on the front, but the cases are not interchangeable. The front makes more sense to me for accessibility reasons. The pump came with a metal gasket, a thermostat gasket and a weird rubber gasket that just seems to keep dirt in the timing cover. Make sure you have a good thermostat.
