These brackets look nice, but the ball is not measured properly. These brackets effectively broke a $130.00 dollar pair of Camloc Stop and Stay gas springs. I think the powder coating adds enough dimension to the 10mm ball stud, and makes it entirely too tight to get the gas spring off of the bracket. The manufacturer either needs to reduce the size of the ball stud on the powder coated models to allow for the thickness of the powder coating, or disclose the actual dimensions of the ball stud after powder coating. So, I’m throwing these hunks off junk away, as well as my busted bad springs.
