This monitor really has to be seen to be believed - image quality, color reproduction and refresh rate all combine to make a very compelling package. I am not new to monitors as I have installed 1 to 5 monitors over the years with resolutions up to 4K and sizes from 15" to 32" and up and trust me when I say this is a good one option is. While the 75Hz max speed on FreeSync settings might not be anything special for fast-paced gaming, it's more than enough for everything else - and the image quality is amazing, bringing plenty of depth and life to whatever's displayed. The monitor is also VERY bright (can be reduced in settings if desired). The 27-inch size and QHD resolution make a good combination - at this size 4K/UHD creates a panel where you'll want to increase the DPI, which will cost you some resolution anyway. Another area where this monitor shines is in the extra features - not only does it have standard (modern) DisplayPort and HDMI connectivity, but it also has a handy USB-C port with a few extra tricks up its sleeve. Not only does it transmit video, but it also allows you to use the monitor as a USB hub (with two USB-A ports on the back - although they can be hard to access for commonly used things like thumb drives, they're good suitable for connecting keyboards). mice/etc. that stay connected) and for the monitor to power the connected device with up to 100W. I was able to test this on my iPad Pro and Chromebook - both recognized all three functions - power delivery, video out and USB hub functions. In fact, I plugged in my Chromebook, closed the screen, and with an attached cable, turned the Chromebook into a very usable desktop setup with a wireless keyboard/mouse receiver attached to a monitor. That being said, I appreciate the button layout with direct access to the volume controls (handy for one-cable setups where the monitor doubles as a speaker). The speakers are adequate - not much to write about but they produce reasonable sound for 3W which is clear and has good volume but lacks bass/treble range and depth. They work well, but if you're an audiophile/frequent listener you'll probably want something more (that's the standard for monitor speakers). For the price, I would have liked a more adaptable/adjustable stand, but the stand is solid, high quality, and beautifully designed - works well for a NUC-sized laptop or computer. Haven't tried it yet, the monitor is said to be VESA 100x100 mount compatible, but I have some reservations about the mount design - it's at the bottom of the screen and is recessed, so you'll need to pick the right mount. As a rule, these are small nits. All in all a great monitor for all but the hardcore gamers - highly recommend.
