Firstly I have a '92 Chevy K1500 with a 4.3 liter engine. Very easy to install in the ECU, basically take the old one and put in the new one. I've found that it has increased the power of my small motor, but the only reason it does it is because it's tricking the ECU into getting a little ahead of the timing. This made the engine idle very fast, sounding like a race car in 1st gear. I have to say it somehow increases power in the higher rpm range suggesting that it really benefits in 1st or 2nd gear with 5th gear due to the higher rpm in those gear ratios. I'm not going to use that little chip because it makes my truck idle, but if you like a little high-revving 4.3 liter engine, use it.
