Finches love this seed. Arrived quickly and well packaged, thank you. I tried this seed in spring and the birds ignored it. So I waited a month and put the food back in. Once the finches found it they flocked so much I bought another feeder and another one. I am considering adding more. This is a great seed, and if you put it a little near a tree (birds feel safer with a tree within about 5 to 15 feet) and nothing buds, wait a week or so. Change it up and use very little and see how it goes. At first I threw away the seeds and almost gave up this spring, and then I tried again and I'm very glad I did! Now I have so many finches at the feeding ground all day. Sometimes they'll let me within 5 feet of them if I'm slow and careful.
