Now works fine when I connect it without ethernet network.
Works fine now that I plug it in without the ethernet connection already installed on the computer. The instructions state that it may not connect to the internet if the computer is already connected. The product is easy to connect to the router. The speed is good. I used it to reinstall Windows and Ultimate. Easily upgrade to SP1 using only the wireless connection provided by the device. I'm happy. Makes it easy to use different computers when you don't have built-in WiFi and Ethernet connection.
