I have this case to make it easier to access my drives that I have in a ZFS pool as a media server for Kodi. Yes, you will need to modify the computer case to bend the tabs to fit. Understand that you are putting this in place of 3 DVD-ROM like devices. It was pretty easy to do. There are 2 SATA power connectors on the back. Not sure if this is for redundancy or for power requirements. I've decided to connect a connector to two separate power supply legs to help in both cases. It would be nice if the red Access LED were a bit brighter than the blue Power LED. Whatever it was, the light changes slightly from blue to lavender. It would be nice to have a darker purple color to see access activity. However, it doesn't matter much. The way the device inserts the drive into the SATA connectors gives the impression of a secure connection. The hardware is definitely a consumer device and not intended for frequent drive swapping. It will work fine for what I need (don't switch drives often). I don't have to reopen the drive bays until a drive fails or my array grows in size. The product serves its stated purpose and I would recommend it to a friend. I would not recommend it for commercial use.
