This fits our 11 month old Great Dane puppy very well, he developed a bad habit of not listening when on a leash and we needed something he couldn't escape from, until we corrected him and put him and his teenage attitude in a sitting position until he can calm his ass! So far he hasn't been able to slip out of this collar and it's been tightened just enough to let him know it won't work. him everywhere. I like that the hardware isn't plastic. The entire collar is well made and very strong, easy to put on your head and tighten/loosen. The red color looks great on her too! We have a range of regular collars in various colors for our two Great Danes from this company but this is our first time buying/using a Martindale collar but time will tell if this collar and my patience will get through it Training and breaking the bull's head will be the phase our dog is going through right now.
