This is a viable approach to under shelf keyboard lighting. The light doesn't shine directly into your eyes, nor does it illuminate the keyboard. These fairy lights are very bright. It is very difficult to put a garland directly under a shelf or cabinet. I first installed it on a frame made from reclaimed wood slats and then installed the frame under the shelf. After trying the included glue and a few others, I found that the hot rig for attaching the light strip itself to the frame is hot glue. It is strong, cures quickly and will not damage electrical insulation or small lightbulbs. Therefore, it is a good electrically sound product that may require some effort to install.
