I bought this to replace a Dyson and it's nowhere near as good. This vacuum cleaner does a good job of cleaning my wall to wall carpeted room. That's the only positive. It's very heavy and you need three hands to operate the attachments. The canister is ridiculously small and the fill line is only an inch or two from the bottom, requiring you to keep emptying it throughout the process. The cord is short - I can't vacuum the whole room - and it's so low I keep stepping on it or turning around. And he can't pick up kitty litter or pine needles off tile or hardwood—he just scatters them endlessly. I don't know how they managed to make it so bad. I would really like to invest in another Dyson.
