I bought a Tripp Lite cooling pad for my 13" Dell D620 over a year ago. I use it 7 days a year. a week for 12 hours and it always works great. Before using the mat, I lost components due to heat. Now my laptop stays cool. It also fits nicely in a travel laptop bag. You don't have to worry about wires breaking or hitting the fan like other pillows where the fan is exposed from below. The fan is quiet, almost imperceptible. Only downside is the rubber tabs that hold the laptop up so it doesn't sit level on a cool pillow in the wrong spot for my laptop so I have to readjust it every now and then, if only it had a few more rubber grips it would work better for different size laptops but my husband always steals it and uses it for his 16 inch Toshiba satellite and it works fine for him. Update - I've had this great pad for 3 years now and somewhere around the 18 month mark the cable was shorted. I've tried to no avail to tape the cable, tried to wiggle it, tried everything and finally found that when I tape the cable to the top of the laptop screen the fan runs most of the time. It really hurt and now I'm looking for a replacement with a better line.
