Well while it was running

And then my cheap wiring died and I had to buy another laptop cooler. I used mine on my lap most of the time so the wires moved around a lot. If you plan on using it as a stationary cooler, that's probably better. But who buys a laptop for stationary use? UPDATE: I've just spent 10 hours searching the internet for the best laptop cooler and made the final decision: I'll buy another Tripp Lite. I don't think it's that bad. I plan to tape the wires to the radiator so the wiring doesn't get…

Works well for the price

I recently bought a 17 inch gateway laptop and found that it gets too hot to use on my lap. This cooling pad performs well for the price, but there is a downside. The laptop is 17 inches, due to its weight, it hits fans from time to time. It doesn't cause any damage and still works great, it's just annoying having to move the laptop around to keep it from making noise from blowing fans. Otherwise it works well and is very quiet. If I had a 14 inch or 15 inch laptop I would definitely recommend…

Right answer for my needs

I was concerned about the height of these units as I use a Dell work laptop (D-610) with a port replicator. This unit is solid enough to support both devices without fan noise and is only about half an inch tall. Since it supports both, I didn't have to worry about it just lying under the computer and creating a heave angle that caused an unreliable connection to the dock. The price is quite reasonable and I would highly recommend it for any 15 inch laptop and I suspect it will work for larger…

It's not always quiet. in Computers and Accessories

This laptop cooler does what it's supposed to do: keep your device cool. It's virtually silent about 80 percent of the time, but for some reason it sometimes starts to hum like the fan motors are badly mounted, but then quiets down again. It's a bit annoying when that happens and I've considered returning it, but I'm used to it and will probably just see where it goes. I use it with a 15 inch laptop so it's not a weight issue, or at least I don't think so. blind typist so not a problem for me…

Excellent cooling for over a year

I bought a Tripp Lite Cooling Pad for my 13 inch Dell D620 over a year ago. I use it 7 days a week for 12 hours and it always works great. Before using it, I lost components due to heat. Now my laptop stays cool. It also fits nicely in my laptop bag for on the go. The fan is not exposed so I don't have to worry about cables breaking or hitting the fan like other pads where the fan is exposed from below. The fan is quiet, almost imperceptible. Only downside is the rubber tabs that hold your…

Don't waste your money here!

Hi all, I bought this item because I wanted to guarantee some "cool air" on my DELL Inspiron 6400 but it doesn't work, I see one Fan spins (it works so slow) One good thing I can say is that it's so quiet but it is, it doesn't do the job, it was cheap but it's disappointing. In Spanish. Bueno no es mucho que decir aqui, lo compre por barato y para garantizar un poco de "frescura" en mi DELL inspiron 6400, pero que va no funciona, es decir enciende and todo pero no creo que sea of mucha ayuda…

  • Rugged design to withstand the constant pressure of heavy laptops
