I bought a Tripp Lite Cooling Pad for my 13 inch Dell D620 over a year ago. I use it 7 days a week for 12 hours and it always works great. Before using it, I lost components due to heat. Now my laptop stays cool. It also fits nicely in my laptop bag for on the go. The fan is not exposed so I don't have to worry about cables breaking or hitting the fan like other pads where the fan is exposed from below. The fan is quiet, almost imperceptible. Only downside is the rubber tabs that hold your laptop up so it doesn't lay flat on a cool stand, isn't the right place for my laptop so I have to adjust it from time to time. If it had a few more rubber grips, it would work better with different sized laptops. However, my husband always steals it and uses it for his 16 inch Toshiba satellite and it works well for him. .Update - I've had this cool rug for 3 years now and it's been evolving somewhere around the 18 month mark. I've tried to no avail to tape the cable, tried to wiggle it, tried everything and finally found that when I tape the cable to the top of the laptop screen, the fan runs most of the time. It really hurt and now I'm looking for a replacement with a better line.
