These are my favorite filters for Chemex coffee makers. If you pour hot water on it while it's in the chemex and pour that water out, you'll have no paper taste in your coffee at all and it will hug the chemex until you finish brewing and remove it. The advice I highly recommend actually relates to storing these filters. Lay the crate on its side instead of standing upright. As you gradually remove the filters from the box, gravity will cause the remaining filters to begin to bend. It's not a big deal, but they're just less flawlessly straight/crispy when you take them out if you leave the box straight, and you might get frustrated trying to center them in your Chemex before using the rinse Pour water.
