I am impressed with the accuracy of this small, inexpensive tool. My husband was skeptical about my purchase for "my tool bag" but when we put shelves in the closet it worked wonders. There are no instructions, but once you get the hang of it, it's a very cool little tool to have on hand. Everything we hung was level and consistent with what the tool is doing.
