Nice but not easy/versatile to install

I bought this because it looks good and I was hoping that the damper I put in would be more energy efficient/high tensile strength than my current damper. However, it doesn't come with a backplate and doesn't seem to be compatible with standard brass backplates or protective covers as the mounting screws with screw-on brass caps on the back go through the door and the screws are longer. than the thickness of my door. I'll try to shorten the screws and make it work with the privacy screen back/cover I have, but it will take some effort. Only recommend buying this slot if you don't need a backplate and want to adjust the length of the screws.
