Works on 03 MK4 GTI with Monsoon 2DIN Radio. (Aftermarket single din installed). The problem with the MK4 GTI is that the stock radio has a fancy solid state thing that somehow turns on when the ignition is switched on. Don't ask me how it works. Long story short, you need to run the ignition wire from the ignition power supply to the radio so the radio isn't always on unless you want to remember to manually turn the radio off with the button each time. As long as you "remember" you won't have any battery drain issues.
