Great for home radio amateurs (UPDATE)

First let me say that this is not a radio at all. Network device, yes. The fact that it has an external microphone resembling a real HF radio doesn't even qualify it as a radio. No pun. It's a network device that resembles a phone in a box. Then you ask yourself why would you buy it? Well I found it interesting and innovative. I have to admit I like the simplicity of his work. I mean it's no different than a 3-4 year old cell phone. Android 7 with touch screen. As for applications. I removed this Zello app as I don't need it. Mainly because it leverages the push-to-talk feature in other apps. As a radio amateur, I have 3 applications installed that I use the most. Their vehicles or HOAs do not allow them to install a rooftop antenna. I've only tested this device with my home wifi and it works great. One caveat: the volume in most apps I've used can't be controlled using the power button on the volume slider. The GPS wasn't even set up as I prefer not to use it. I recommend this device to my hobby friends. tested this device with a mexican mobile operator (TelCel) and it works fine with a regular prepaid account. Service in Tijuana is good, as is international roaming in the US.
