Great price good product quality

I liked the compact size and the fact that it works on both 110VAC and 220VAC. I bought this item because I am traveling overseas and most parts of Europe and the Middle East and some Far East use 220VAC. I wanted to be able to charge my dead or empty car battery and didn't want to go to local shops to charge the battery. Here in the US I have regular car chargers that can deliver up to 50 amps for a quick start. But these units are designed for use here and, apart from only working on 110VAC, weigh at least 10-15 pounds. Smuggling that on a plane is out of the question. So I bought this item after reading the reviews and comparing it to other similar products. When the first pad arrived I thought I had received a used pad based on the box packaging. Revain and the seller kindly sent me a replacement unit. While waiting for a replacement device, which only took 1 day, I tried the first device. I liked it so much that I decided to keep both devices. So yes, I have now bought two devices. The only thing I would suggest to the seller is to revise the user manual and provide more information on how to use each mode. For example when and how long we should use repair mode and how long for standard loading. AGM mode for absorbent glass material is fine, but again, some might confuse these AGM with maintenance-free lead-acid batteries. Also it would be nice to have 6v instead of 24v as 24v is not common in the US where 6v is used for motorcycle batteries. All in all I would definitely recommend this item, it works as intended, is compact and you can put it in the trunk of your car. It would be nice if the power cord was longer, say at least 6ft, and if it came with a 220v adapter for use abroad. Now only time will tell how long this item lasts. Not intended for daily use in car workshops. It's more like using the house from time to time. It's great to have one of these in your car, RV, boat and/or small general aviation plane. In case of emergency, you can use it to charge the battery or as a trickle charger, so the battery can be constantly charged. The manual says the microprocessor prevents overcharging, I hope it does.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
