We have a Smokey Joe style grill that we use a lot in the summer months but is very difficult to clean. We usually use steel wool to clean it, but it's a lot of work, plus a steel brush ruins nails and threatens wedding rings. We hope this brush will be the solution. It's winter when we write this review, so we didn't have a BBQ. I did however use a brush (with soap and water in the kitchen sink) to see if it would remove anything steel wool had left behind in the past. The result was minor, but sufficient to slightly discolor the rinse water. However, I can say that the long handle was much more comfortable to hold than the steel wool tumbleweed. We look forward to using this brush right after grilling; I'm sure this will replace our steel wool ritual.
