This stand is made of steel. This is a terrible choice for those who ride off-road and is not intended for off-road riders as hitting bumps can cause this kickstand to unlock and fall off. For road users, this is the right choice. Because it's made of steel, it can be bent, cut, and fitted to almost any bike if needed. The flange that attaches it to the axle can be knocked off and flattened for different diameter outlet pipes. I had several of these for my bikes and I had one that didn't lock properly upright and allowed the stand to fall off when riding and hitting small bumps and I had to replace that stand with a new one that worked properly. . So. I can't give this stand 5 stars so it only gets 4. It's one of the best rear mounts out there, but it's far from perfect. But it is good.
