Review on πŸš— TGL Hitch Step: Top-Rated Tow Hitch for 2 inch Receivers - Find Your Perfect Fit! by Brian Shakey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Heavy and strong enough. Very satisfied.

I agree with other reviewers that there is more play when it is inserted into the clutch. My Toyota 4Runner is no exception. I've seen at least 3 reviewers complain about the fit. However, I took the approach I've used for other applications, which was to slightly tighten the fit by installing the hitch, inserting the stop pin and holding the step up so the gap at the bottom of the pound is at the narrow edge was the wooden door seal. in between until he gets as far as possible. Then press down on the spacer and snap it off almost flush with the bottom edge of the receiver. This will dramatically delay landing. If you need to replace the towbar, you can repeat the process. A package of door seals is cheap and won't scratch the steel. The pillow insert will swell and shrink somewhat in wet and dry climates, but is still easy to remove. Because of this simple solution, I give the heavy and solid construction 5 stars. I also live in Minnesota so rust is to be expected and will add character to its look.

Pros
  • Can be used as a rescue anchor point.
Cons
  • Crumpled Package
