You get a full toolkit for less than the price of just the bag or multi-tool. Both of those items are quite good quality, on their own. It would be nice if they would have included a small, glueless patch kit, but you should buy one and stick it in there, too, for that 'second flat' you might get after installing that spare tube.What the manufacturer cannot do for you is to teach you how to replace that tube so you can get back on the road. You're not going to do it correctly without instruction, so find a local bike class, or ask someone knowledgeable to show and explain to you how it's done. Here's a tidbit of bike wisdom, if you replace the tube, and it then 'leaks', 'pops', 'blows', 'explodes' or whatever, it was not the fault of the tube. Sorry. It was YOUR fault, as you made an error installing it. The number of times a failure is due to a defective tube are infinitesimally small, dwarfed by the myriad number of ways that people can screw up the job when they haven't been shown how it needs to be done. If you're the impatient type who carries a CO2 inflator, be sure to also have at least a mini-pump with you. Your mentor will explain why.One last tidbit--put in a pair of disposable, nitrile-type gloves. Not the really thin medical ones that tear easily, but the ones that still take up very little space but are much tougher. You will really appreciate not having the dirt ground into your skin.
