Review on Dorman 615-180 Engine Intake Manifold: A Perfect Fit for Select Models by James Townsend

After 1 year it started leaking. Bolts were tightened to specification (I've restored 3 cars so I'm little more than a weekend mechanic). After a few months it got progressively worse. Gasket material is sub-standard, likely due to the manufacturing process (excessive burr indicates a poorly controlled manufacturing process). I had to send it back after opening the box. When I removed the replacement camera I installed 2 years ago, it was deformed; specifically on the vacuum hose connector which has very little reinforcement. It was 11 years and 280,000 miles before I had to replace the original gasket. But after I replaced it with this product, it failed after a year. I am very disappointed in this product. I read similar reviews but took a chance. Big mistake. "It would be nice if I got my money back.
