I was blown away by how thin the metal was. In fact, it was so thin that the pot itself was bent upon arrival. Of course, things are not always optimally packed and sometimes damage occurs during transport. However, the way the pot was bent made it look like it had fallen on its side. I was able to bend it back into shape (so the lid fit almost right) but then I thought that all the effort it took to get the pot right when it wasn't even hot was just the quality of the pot and of the material showed . Glad it worked for others. We will send it back and try another product.
