Quality at a fair price

So far I've had a lot of experience with Rachael Ray hard anodized cookware. I only use plastic utensils when cooking. And to clean, I use a mild soap and non-abrasive sponge. I didn't notice any scratches or chips in the material. The heat is evenly distributed during cooking. I would recommend this and other Rachael Ray hard anodized cookware to anyone who wants a quality product at a reasonable price.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • No mold required

Too thin and fragile

I've read some good reviews about this pot but when it arrived I was surprised at how thin and fragile it is. I replaced a Members Mark 8 qt pot I had for about 15 years with this one. My old pan was twice as heavy and the material was about twice as thick. I've even dropped it once or twice and it never warped. No hope of long life with this new Rachel Ray product. I know for sure it won't survive a drop test.

Pros
  • Sturdy

The cover doesn't fit. Not even close!

I ordered this pot a few months ago. For health reasons, I have not been able to cook anything big to this day. I made my famous Italian spaghetti sauce. You cook it for hours... You can't do it if the lid doesn't fit. Also, there was so much noise with the lid closed... I took the lid off and found myself constantly adding water because without a proper lid the sauce just evaporates. Sauce has no flavor unless it can be simmered for hours. I wish I could get a refund.

Extremely thin metal

I was blown away by how thin the metal was. In fact, it was so thin that the pot itself was bent upon arrival. Of course, things are not always optimally packed and sometimes damage occurs during transport. However, the way the pot was bent made it look like it had fallen on its side. I was able to bend it back into shape (so the lid fit almost right) but then I thought that all the effort it took to get the pot right when it wasn't even hot was just the quality of the pot and of the material…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Neutral

I cook stew every week and bought this pot because it is easy to clean, which my previous pot lacked. The downside to this design, however, is that as soon as you start cooking, condensation collects under the lid and constantly pours onto the stovetop, creating a watery mush and a loud hiss. I fixed the situation by using a lid from another of my pots to solve this problem, but if you don't have another suitable lid then this article is not for you. Too bad they didn't spend as much time on…

Large, non-stick - great pan!

This is a great soup or casserole dish for a dozen people. It's easy to use as the handles stay cool. This is a good shape for a slab as it is about as tall as it is wide. This means that it has the maximum possible capacity for its size and volume. We've had no issues with food sticking while cooking or cleaning the pot. Although the pan is stated to be oven safe up to 350 degrees, we did not use ours in the oven. Thanks to the non-stick coating, the products do not burn or stick to the…
